> Daniel John Flood was an American attorney and politician who served as the U.S. representative for Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district for 15 nonconsecutive terms. A Democrat, he was first elected in 1944 and served continuously from 1955 to 1980. Flood was credited with leading the effort to help the Wilkes-Barre area recover from the effects of the 1972 Agnes Flood.
