# Ben Dunkelman

> Benjamin "Ben" Dunkelman DSO was a Canadian Jewish military officer and businessman. Dunkelman served in the Canadian Army in World War II and the Israel Defense Forces in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. In Israel, he was called Benjamin Ben-David. He subsequently headed the retail chain Tip Top Tailors and was a real estate developer, art gallery owner, and restauranteur.
