## Bio

Born Anouk Teeuwe on 8 April 1975, she spent her first two decades unknown, then released "Nobody's Wife" in 1997 and the Dutch charts opened. Hit singles followed - "Michel", "R U Kiddin' Me", "Girl", "Lost" - and every album she put out seemed to debut at number 1. By 2025 she'd released fifteen studio albums, mostly anglophonic rock and pop, one of them produced by Glen Ballard in the U.S. In 2013 she carried "Birds" to Eurovision in Malmö, the first Dutch final berth in nearly a decade, and finished 9th with 114 points. In recent years she's moved toward Dutch lyrics and a folkier sound; her 2022 album was called Trails of Fails.
