## Bio

Born near Friesach on 21 November 1984, Gabalier grew up in the Austrian countryside before finding a sound that split the difference between his folk roots and rock energy. The hybrid caught fire across Austria and Germany, turning traditional alpine music into something louder and younger. His rise turned him into a polarizing but undeniable force in pop culture, drawing both massive crowds and sharp criticism for his brand of updated volkstümliche Musik. He remains a fixture of German-language charts and festivals, still working the same mix that made his name.
