Alexandra Dawn Wong was born April 19, 1982. She wrote for Fresh Off the Boat in 2015, then became a cast member on American Housewife from 2016 to 2021. Her Netflix special Baby Cobra dropped in 2016, followed by Hard Knock Wife in 2018, both filmed while visibly pregnant. She wrote and starred in the romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe in 2019, and voiced characters on Tuca & Bertie and Big Mouth through the early 2020s. Don Wong arrived in 2022. The next year she starred in the dark comedy series Beef, winning two Primetime Emmys and a Golden Globe—the first Asian background woman to take a lead acting Emmy in a limited series. Her 2024 special Single Lady won her another Golden Globe. Time named her one of the hundred most influential people in both 2020 and 2023.
